Appearance

Amend roof profile or pitch
Install clocktower and clock / weathervane
Install Arched entranceway or haystore

Structural

Increase framing to 4x 2 for stallion box
Increase external cladding to 19 or 22mm thick
Install insulation / vapour membrane to offices & restrooms

Ventilation Specify additional ventilators or install additional top half doors

Roofing

Optional roof colourings in Red/Green/Grey/Brown
Specify sarking to roof structure to add strength and minimise condensation
Specify alternative BARDOLINE glassfibre shingle roofing for appearance
Choose Alloy profile clad or ONDUSTEEL tile effect roofing

Daylight

Allow for translucent sheets in Onduline roof to increase airiness inside.
If Sarking is chosen then specify polycarbonate panels 2.4 x 300mm to
upper outside walls or clear adjustable louvre slat ventilators.

Linings

Increase thickness of OSB to 18mm
Alter kicklining to optional moisture resistant MDF or plywood
Specify 19mm sawn boarding for ease of replacement
Specify 11mm rubber wallmat for protection of horses and buildings

Doors

Specify alternate crook & band hinges & autolok padbolts
600mm Steel sheet to the door face
Specify 600mm hinged additional doorway for extra width in Foaling Box
Use 11mm Rubbermat on door inside to prevent mealtime agitation
Amend door split height or choose 3 way split doors

Partitions

Install chathole in 50 x 50mm weldmesh
Install steel barred grills with 12mm solid bars at 100mm centres
Specify removable partition in boxes for foaling time
Limit partition height to 1.2m for smaller horses

Hardware

Fit external swivel feeders for ease of feeding
Consider whether enough tie rings and slip rings both inside & out
Allow for hay feeders and salt licks and mangers
Feedbins for cubes and feeds
Bridle Racks, hathooks, saddleracks and shelving for tackroom area

Power

Fit bulkhead or fluorescent fittings with safety guards to each room
Allow for 240V 13A sockets for clippers, electric fences etc
Specify external security lights and consider downlighters to front overhang

Water

Install external taps for fetlock washing and feeding with internal supply
Fit heat-tape anti frost system or polylag all pipework
Fit automatic water feeders to each box
Consider isolation valves to feeders to monitor water consumption

Flooring Fit EQUIMAT flooring for comfort, safety and economy

Security

Fit MEDIVET foaling and stable security systems with infra red facilities
Installation of phone and remote fire sensing cables in utilities duct
Fencing in yard and access with security padlocks
Secure tackroom with security bolts and lost head screws
